5 piece band from Poulsbo Washington with a desire for creating something new as well as progress as musicians. Using a vast selection of gear, Sigmoid Argonaut aim to give listeners an auditory journey without the repetition.

Regardless, the tunes on Sigmoid Argonaut’s self-titled EP are pretty riff-tastic and fun. Seconds in, they’ll have you finger-drumming on the top of your desk. The band doesn’t stray too far from a driving, dopey vibe, but they have a real knack for the kinds of ebbs and builds that make post rock so irrepressibly bombastic. The guitars sear, the synths are molten and thickly-LFOed. However, Sigmoid Argonaut does seem to posses that dangerous aural samey-ness that can come with the unimaginative use of certain pedals (that is to say, the keenest of listeners might easily be able to attribute their sound to a specific combination of Guitar Center purchases). By comparison, an example of a band that uses their gear brilliantly would be non-peninsular face-melters Sleepy Eyes of Death. To be fair, occasionally, as on “Trapperin Keeper,” a really left-field noise will invite itself into Sigmoid Argonaut’s dirty-bong jams, adding a welcome dose of weirdness.

Along the highway, somewhere inbetween, maybe even after the highcoast of Norrland,a late summersday in the beginning of a descending decenium,we stumbled upon a old white church, scared and teared on the frontage by the seasons.
Close to the sparsely-populated area of Bygdsiljum, where we decided to take a break,stretch our legs after hours driving in a stuffy rental car all morning. Cafe Americana from a gasstation, some breadloaf, cigarets, Linus got him self some cigars, non branded.
This concept was dead, or at least moldened, we had this feeling in our guts that we had more to give then to face the stage with hollow material that we couldn't put our own beliefs into, we wanted to flip the coin, make something we believed in, and in that maybe face the fact that we would be alone on our journey.
Behind the church, we found this large pile of thrown goods (probably froma flee market), mostly junk,cloths, old pictures, books, shoes and other things that has been passed awayby time.
And we stole this trunk from the house of God.
Ioseb took its shape the spring after the situation with the trunk,as a try to translate the old fasade of that church, forgotten pictures,seldom read books, lost letters, old tales of folklore, pale paintings,the baltic sea and the harsh climate that haunts us when the summers gone, into music.
We now use this trunk as a case for our FX pedals.
With a lack of vengeance, melancholy, anger and hope we bind together our music with great ambient atmospheres and beutifull harmonies in where the thin vocals embraces you as warm hands on a frosty december morning.
Linus is gone, without a trace, we guess that he is in Great Britain somewhere, probably?
Johan replaced him recently, but we are still hanging in there, that is Daniel, Jimmy, Jonathan and Mattias.
Uncertain of our goal but convinced that a lot of music will be made, music that we will remember, we will hopefully get our sympathy from out there somewhere.
We will bring the trunk with us to heaven..

More than 5,000 miles separates the members of Hollow Branches, they have only been in the same room a handful of times, each is in several other bands, and none of this is likely to change.

In spite of these obstacles, Hollow Branches has managed to record two EPs in 2009 alone. With a sound equal parts ambient, rock and trip hop, “Words are Fire” received a digital release in February and was downloaded no less than 500 times. Since that time, five new tracks have been written for their second EP, “Anchored in Sleep.” Thematically inspired by dreams, insomnia, nostalgia and morning, “Anchored in Sleep” finds Hollow Branches expanding their sound with elements of progressive and post rock, as well as glitch.

Fuck Buttons is a two-piece experimental group based in London, England.

Formed in late 2004 and signed to the ATP label, releasing the “Bright Tomorrow” b/w “Little Bloody Shoulder” 7” single during the fall of 2007. They released their first album, Street Horrrsing, in 2008 and received widespread acclaim. A single, “Colours Move”, followed later that year.

Their second album ‘Tarot Sport’ was released October 12th (UK) / October 20th (USA) 2009.

The album, ‘Tarot Sport’, is one of unbound possibility and lucid cohesion; a cerebral pilgrimage that refines, crafts, explores and develops the experimental aesthetic of last year’s critically acclaimed debut, ‘Street Horrrsing.’

The duo’s pioneering sound drew legendary DJ, producer and remixer Andrew Weatherall into the story - his own unique ethos inspired him to return behind the desk at the Rotters Golf Club Studio in London to capture a snapshot of two artists pushing forward into uncharted territories. As the band say, “There are so many more layers of sound that we needed somebody with the ability to spread these out over a wide plane… The ambition of sound in this record required him to realize it.”

The seven tracks on the album reflect a new-found complexity of sound that Fuck Buttons immersed themselves in, strived for and achieved with startling results.
