“Of Score And Promise EP” was released in February of 2012 dedicated to and in the memory of Nate Wilson.

Bits & Pieces are a bunch of songs he recorded over the past couple of years that he didn't feel fit into any one album (or were otherwise too rough), so he decided to make a whole separate compilation album for them.

After releasing a digital debut EP “Falling Motion”, which got quite positive reactions from post-rock fans all over the globe, Autism has released a brand new album “The Crawling Chaos”. This release contains 7 tracks, which came out sounding much heavier then our previous works, but the melodic guitars and the atmosphere is still the same.

That’s, what the man behind Autism project had to say about the new album :
“When I started writing new material for this album, I decided that this time, I want to hear some vocals. Making instrumental music was not enough, so after some interesting experiments I decided to introduce a story-teller, who reads fragments from H.P. Lovecraft “The Crawling Chaos” book. This spoken-vocal idea was haunting me since when I heard The Doors “An American Prayer” for the first time. Later I came across Enablers “End Note” album, which made me sympathize for that kind of vocal even more. So I think introducing spoken vocals into my new album added some darker, more mystical atmosphere. Also, this release came out being a little heavier then our debut. Its hard to say why that happened, maybe I was never a big fan of traditional post-rock, or maybe it just came out naturally while experimenting and trying to find the distinctive sound for this project.” Also Autism presents you with their first official music video for the title track “The Crawling Chaos”.

Characterized by slow tempos and minimalist arrangements, ‘Ritual’ is a sonic refuge far way from modern distractions, a place of introspection with no wall, with nothing to do than stare at the slow-rising sun. Following the Nature’s rhythms, the seven tracks oscillate between an apparent serenity and pure nostalgia, led by drifting guitars and warm tones, but filled with raw sounds & field recordings experiments. A captivating debut forged in reverb, solemn and fragile.

Movimientos Invisibles Del Sol born in February 2012 in Valladolid, a small town in north-western Spain. Israel Oviedo (drums), David P. Zarain (guitars) and Cesar Sanz (guitars) had previously initiated a project, a band called Sylas, which came as a bit post-metal sound that characterizes Movimientos Invisibles Del Sol and showed a strong connection between them. Subsequently reattached to start, with bassist Raúl Santos, the project Movimientos Invisibles Del Sol. Influenced by post-rock bands like the spanish Toundra and Exxasens or outside our borders bands like Russian Circles, Envy, Red Sparowes, Tool, Isis, Maserati, Long Distance Calling, Explosions In The Sky are clear references. It can be summed up the music of Movimientos Invisibles Del Sol as the attempt to create a music capable of evoking landscapes in the mind. Songs with a feeling and dynamism unable to engage the listener and transfer to a pleasant time outside of the reality.

Mixing heart and dynamics, Mohican has set the bar for a new kind of instrumental music. They mix early 90's riffs with the heaviest power you can reach without being 'hardcore" or "metal." It's very apparent that they feel each others passion while playing, creating soundscapes reflecting the struggles of their own lives and the love they have for the music.

News: Ed Gibbs parts ways with Devil Sold His Soul

Today we have to announce that our friend and brother, Ed Gibbs, has decided to leave Devil Sold His Soul to pursue a career outside of the band:

"This is the hardest and saddest decision that I have ever had to make, but I am parting ways with Devil Sold His Soul. This has nothing to do with any lack of love for the music or my brothers in the band, but I just don't feel that I can commit 100% to our band anymore and that I need to start looking to the future. This band has been the biggest and most important thing to happen in my life and I wouldn't be the same person right now if it wasn't for it. Over my 9 years in the band we have overcome so many hurdles and hardships together that these guys truly feel like family to me and it really does hurt to know that I won't be playing shows with them again, but I know that we will always be close. I would like to thank everyone that has ever supported our band along the way and helped us do all of the things we have achieved so far, without you we could never have made it this far. I wish the guys the best of luck for the future and whatever it throws at them! I have had some of the most incredible experiences over the years and I wouldn't change a thing. Peace out! Ed"

Like many of you, we are shocked by the decision but we understand that it is not an easy one to make. We fully understand and support the reasons why Ed has decided to leave and although we are saddened by it, we are happy and grateful to have been able to share almost 9 years with Ed in the band. He will always be a huge part of this band, no matter what. We have shared some of the best times of our lives together and we will never forget that. And of course he has given so much to this band, we are sure you will not forget it either. We hope that you will all share our feelings about this and realize that sometimes these things happen and that everything happens for a reason. We still have the same outlook and we will keep moving forward.

So now we look to the future. We are extremely happy to say that we have already found a new vocalist. Paul Green, whom many of you will know from The Arusha Accord, will be taking over vocal duties and we feel very lucky to have found someone who we deem to have an amazing voice and energy that will add a new dimension to Devil Sold His Soul. We hope that you will all welcome him into the band with the same positive and open-minded spirit that we have.

We are extremely optimistic about the future. We have already started writing new material and we will have more news about that very soon.

After releasing If Wolves with dunk!records, Kokomo decided to also work with them for their third full length album. This self-titled release is recorded and mixed by Tobias (drummer) in their very own home studio in Duisburg, Germany.

“Music can be heard, described, categorized and analyzed in countless ways. Thodor W.Adorno for instance distinguished between popular and serious and by this gave music a difference in value which is still in use today. But no matter how one approaches music, it is for sure that music is socially produced as well as socially productive. And this the main concern behind Kokomo.
There is a scene for every kind of music and we secretly hope to have found our little spot. Since 2008 we have tried to bring our music to people and spread a little joy on concerts and tours with And So I Watch You From Afar, Caspian, Silver Mt. Zion, 65daysofstatic, Caspian, This Will Destroy You, Maybeshewill and many other bands between Edinburgh and Istanbul. If one would enumerate aims, this would be one of ours: To enjoy the music, pass this feeling to the audience and thereby have a good time ourselves.
Each of our by now three albums has been recorded by ourselves and we have put a lot of effort into getting the whole thing across with a lot of love and dedication. For example with self made packaging, our own designs or hand printed merchandise.
We hope that we can set ourselves a little bit apart with the new album and on our upcoming concerts, but above all we want to let our music speak for itself. Because since Jaques Derrida we know that words are only sleeves and can change their meaning every day.”

News: The end of Gifts From Enola

After seven years, we've decided to put Gifts From Enola to sleep. For those who didn't pick up on the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hints, we knew that A Healthy Fear would be the last thing we were going to do for a long while. The band slowly became a full-time occupation over the years, and once we all graduated college, we had the opportunity to hit the road non-stop and hang on to the music industry zipline by our fingertips the best we could. Despite all of the incredible experiences we had, the experiment left us vehicleless and in financial discomfort after a handful of years of grinding it out full-time. We decided to let our frustrations and any negativity out the best way we knew how; writing songs and recording an album. This eventually became that new one with the guillotine on it, A Healthy Fear. Since completing that record, we've transitioned from constantly living and breathing all things Gifts From Enola, to hopping into the "real world" and placing the band much further down on our respective priority lists. It's caused a strange feeling, and one that's similar to when you sense a long-distance relationship weakening over time. Instead of drawing it out and existing as a band that plays a couple of shows every year, we'd rather cut the cord now and go out with an album that we think does a good job at defining everything we wanted to do under the name Gifts From Enola.

We're incredibly grateful for the experiences we had and the fact that our long, riffy rock songs let us see places of the world we never thought we'd see as musicians. Anybody who ever picks up an instrument should make the attempt to record music and tour with your friends because it's an incomparable experience. Don't set lofty goals or have ridiculous expectations; just enjoy traveling and playing music because you're doing exactly that. One of the main reasons we decided to break up now was because we didn't want to lose sight of that. We got whatever ill will we felt towards the struggles of being a full-time touring band out of our system on A Healthy Fear, and are now able to reflect on everything we did with smiles. That may not have happened if we kept trying to push it.

Or maybe we just got freaked out from watching that Anvil documentary one too many times.

Either way, we're super glad that we decided to hit the road when we could over the past six months to play these new songs live and see as many of our home-away-from-home friends as we could one more time before we self-destructed. We had an amazing couple of jaunts, and were able to appreciate the experiences more than ever. We're still the tightest of friends with one another and are going to keep playing music together in a variety of different contexts. We'll make sure to announce all related projects as they come to fruition. Who knows, maybe much further down the road we'll put on our Gifts From Enola jerseys again and release something new; but for the foreseeable future, this is it for us.

We want to thank everyone who has been involved with the band at any point during our little career. That includes tour mates, local friends, global friends, internet friends, anyone who ever booked a show, gave us a place to stay, bought merch, played our records for their friends, sent us encouraging e-mails, helped jump one of our vehicles on the side of the road, or got weird enough to fit into our encyclopedia's worth of inside jokes and tall tales that will make us laugh forever. There are far too many individuals to list; but we truly believe you know who you are. All of you made a handful of 18-19 year old kids that were just trying to learn how to use Garage Band very happy over the years.

Now that it's all done, we're leaving everyone with four full-length albums and two split records that show, if nothing else, a band with an honest desire to change. No matter how little or big the changes may have been, or how apparent our growing pains may have seemed, we always wanted to try new things and never wanted to become complacent with a specific sound. Regardless of if you like our old material, new material, or none of the above, we do hope that people can appreciate our aspirations to challenge ourselves and evolve despite the unfortunately deep pigeonhole we had to (and continue to) dig out of.

We're going to be playing one final show in our town of conception, Harrisonburg, VA, at Blue Nile on June 8th. We plan on celebrating the past seven years to the fullest and playing plenty of material off of all our releases. Come party with us one more time.

      Farewell friends, we love you.

The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation is the heavy droning improv incarnation of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. The music taps into the blistering low-frequency guitar soundscapes, augmented with smatterings of electronic skullduggery and eruptions of cello and trombone. The overall effect of this ensemble conjures expansive sonic wastelands which seem to heighten in sludgy intensity as the sessions go on. Combining subtlety with mightily impressive cinematic-sounding climaxes. Across draughty plateaus of bottom-heavy bluster, arcs of grim string instruments sound out, making for a surprisingly digestible bout of improvisational doom.
The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation release their 5th live album 'Roadburn'. Recorded live April 12th 2012 at the famous Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, where the Corporation had the honor of opening on the main stage on Sunday at the Festival's Afterburner.
'Roadburn' is The Corporations heaviest and darkest journey into abstract alien industrial territories. During this show the animations of Harry Smith guided the band through this darkened journey of colossal darkness...
