A Flooded Skyline is the name of a project I (Andrew Hughes) will be using to release different recordings, ranging from metal to ambient music.
" This is an EP of 3 song, and one bonus track (Peace in Ruin). The songs were written in a few days and recorded over a very short period of time as well. Drums and bass in one day, and the guitar in another. I had a great experience just "playing" the songs, not thinking them through and analyzing every rhythm like I had with "Our Sky, Becoming The Void". I wanted to have a short representation of some music that was just in the moment. Though I guess in this case a 'moment' was more like a week, but compared to other projects, it was in a blink of an eye! The music on this EP is mainly just bass and drums, with a small amount of guitar. Which was great as a bass player, just being able to explore different ways of covering the frequency spectrum other than just 'holding down the low end'!"

y0t0 (lowercase why zero lowercase t zero), or Year Of The Ox, is Charles Sage (Hessien, The Rothko Chapel) from New South Wales, Australia. Inspired by Blade Runner’s Voight-Kampf and the Carrousel of Logan’s Run, ‘Nijisousaku’ is eight scenes of hazy beats, freckled synth washes, cosmic drone and delayed guitar static assembled into a rough cut, featuring script revisions by Cex and Catlips; the soundtrack to a NASA transmission’s stumbling journey through the immensity of space.

Circle Takes The Square (often abbreviated CTTS)
is a screamo band from Savannah, Georgia, USA. The band formed in 2001
as a four-piece and after their first two releases they lost a guitarist
but gained another in late 2004. What listeners tend to notice first
about the band is the loud screaming of both male and female vocals that
often function in a kind of call and response. Skillful, chaotic
drumming coupled with intense, highly technical bass/guitar work have
served to separate the band from most others in the screamo genre.
Highly diverse song structures (from meditative, droning intros to
crushing choruses) have also assisted in carving their unique niche. The
band completed a tour of the UK in mid-2004.
Their latest album, entitled Decompositions: Volume Number One, was released via the band’s bandcamp page on the 21st of
December, 2012. They released it afterwards on Gatepost Recordings in CD & vinyl.

Autumn, Leaves, Scares is a post-black metal band from Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
R. started composing music of this kind a few years ago but only in 2011 he managed to record something with decent quality. The old material is all lost. His friend V. Razvan from Anxiety Disorder encouraged R. to write more music since he could record it. This project begun during the summer of 2011 and then in 2012 was all settled and they released the first EP.

Directed by Markus Lundqvist, “Passing Through” was filmed in sub-zero temperatures at what was once Sweden’s largest mental hospital. Closed since the ‘60’s, the Säter hospital was where the mentally ill were routinely castrated and lobotomized.
“Passing Through” is the closing track on Vertikal and is sung by guitarist Fredrik Kihlberg. “When we decided to start writing a new Cult Of Luna album and talked about which direction we wanted to go, this was actually the first idea that came to my head,” said Kihlberg. “I had this phrase - time is passing me by - in my head, going on repeat, and I thought and I should try to make something out of it. It's a simple phrase but at the same time a powerful and overwhelming feeling. We wanted this to be a beautiful but at the same time intimidating song.”
“You can hear the sensitivity in his voice – just listen and you can hear what he’s communicating. You can feel it. It’s the most honest song I’ve ever heard,” commented vocalist and guitarist Johannes Persson.

Light Bearer formed in 2010 in London, United Kingdom, the band is an all encompassing DIY art, music and narrative project, based around a story written by their vocalist Alex, who drew influence from the writings of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy, John Milton’s Paradise Lost, and the Book of Genesis. Despite the subject matter, their lyrical content is aggressively atheist/ anti theist, feminist and anti speciesism. It is an allegorical tale which directly deconstructs and derails monotheistic mythology, attacking religious ideology which has created oppressive cultural norms around gender, sexuality, race, species and progressive thought.
The band play a mixture of melodic post-hardcore, progressive metal, post-rock and ambient atmospheric drone. The songs are structured specifically to follow the narrative and therefore peak and trough in equal measure, mixing screamed desperate vocals with sung passages.
The story is split into four main parts, collectively known as the "Æsahættr Tetralogy", the first is Lapsus, and subsequently Silver Tongue, Magisterium and finally Lattermost Sword. The narrative begins with the metaphorical casting out of the protagonist Lucifer, an angel so loyal and in love with god that he could not submit when asked to bow before humanity, personified as Adam. For this act he is banished from heaven. Here he questions the Allfather - an entity who claimed the universe as his own. In doing so he realizes his master has lied, and vows to reach out from his desolation and become his namesake, amongst the other fallen angels - to pass on the torch of free will to all life in the multiple universes.
The story continues in Silvertongue, Magisterium and Lattermost Sword in which the torch is borne by the metaphorical Eve - the ancestor of humanity, her rejection of the will of the allfather, her role and the role of the prophesied second Eve. The establishment of the church and the eventual culmination and war against the patriarchal god.
Alongside the four releases are planned EPs and split records, beginning with Beyond the Infinite, The Assembly of God - an elaboration of the introduction to the first album. A second narrative runs through records not included in the four main parts, these chronicle the uprising of those opposed to the false god, recorded in the "Celestium Apocrypha". Those privy to the truth, of the natural formation of the universe and the roles assumed by the characters in the story are charged with forwarding the original word of Lucifer, they are in turn, light bearers. This begins with the "Book of Watchers".

These are the various unreleased and unfinished remnants of the Listening Mirror project that ran from October 2009 until January 2013.
Much of the credit for the project must go to the amazingly talented Kate Tustain, without whom the project would never have got off the ground.
