Pettersson play very emotional post-hardcore/screamo. The mix of singing and screaming vocals reminds me of bands like Suis La Lune, Pianos Become The Teeth, Funeral Diner or Envy while the instrumental is worked out so well that you couldn't believe that this is recorded by only three people. Rift And Seam is Pettersson's first release.

Dead Register is a genre-bending, monolithic, gothic-tinged, gloomy, melodic, “doom-gaze” based in Atlanta. In late 2013, M. Chvasta (vocals, bass, bass vi) recruited his wife, Avril Che for her bass synth, textures, keys, and background vocal accompaniment. Skeletons of mechanical songs were created with programmed beats, which were replaced in 2014 by the refined drumming of Chad Williams.

Chewing his paws off trying to escape. Stuck in traps for days, animals die slowly and sorely, long before the hunter comes. You need 18 foxes to make a furcoat.

About an album in short: The message isn’t straightforward. Anti-utopias are always multi-faceted. Our work is based on a story about a fox and human cruelty, but if you dig deeper, you’ll uncover hidden parallels about witch hunts; people of faith are always offended by the existence of those who don’t share their ideas of the bible. They build the cult of the righteous; the hierarchy of power leads to punishment of those who oppose the views of the majority. As a rule, people give themselves the right to decide who lives and who doesn’t. The world isn’t just black and white, even separating situations by shade is subjective; it is also true when people judge, harm or kill on the grounds of difference. Primarily, the band leans not towards the cult of ideas, but the cult of sense and frugality towards everyone and everything. We don’t appreciate cruelty towards animals and everyone surrounding us. "Portrait for a Reflection" is Fjord's second full-length album, but as opposed to "On Icy Shores", they approached it as an instrumental album right from the beginning. This allowed them to bring new dimensions to their sound, combining various post-rock, post-metal and progressive elements, among others, with the main purpose of bringing a fresh vibe to instrumental music.

Glasgow Coma Scale was formed in February 2011 by Piotr and Marek Kowalski. The two brothers and trained classical musicians lived their lives between Krakow/Poland, where they were born and Barcelona/Spain, finally settling in Frankfurt /Germany. However, they never got the chance to play together in the same band. Along with the drummer Helmes Bode, the idea has now come full circle. If the Kowalskis are the “head” and “heart” of the group, then Bode delivers pumping blood and a dense connective tissue.

Glasgow Coma Scale is named after a neurological method that helps to assess the status of the central nervous system and classify the patient’s state of disorder. For those who want to know if the coma therapy really works, go and listen to their new record. If you are into psychedelic rock, the new album will expand your universe since it takes the music of the first EP“Apophenia” to an even further level. “Enter Oblivion” released via Fluttery Records in December 2016.

It took quite a long time to put all the pieces together and finally record this album. It contains of new and old songs equally.For instance, the last song on the record, called Birthland is the first song ever written, while the opener Sonda is the band’s latest creation.

Why Enter Oblivion? Have you ever heard of people having their best ideas, just before they fall asleep? This is how lots of ideas on this record were born. Mostly, it was the question of catching the idea by singing it into for example a voice recorder or a mobile before entering the oblivion. So, in case of Glasgow Coma Scale, this very moment is crucial if it comes to generating ideas. You catch it and transfer it later into your songs, or you did not manage to stay awake and lose it. It is that simple.

The song Southern Crosses was written in a rehearsal room in in the German capital Berlin while the band was touring. The special thing about the rehearsal room was its location – that was in the midst of an old cemetery. Surrounded by crosses on the one hand side and being close to a railway station called “Südkreuz” (South Cross) on the other hand, finding the song title was an easy decision.

After having released the critically acclaimed three-way collab album with Treha Sektori and RM74, numerous cassettes, and a whole lot of live shows, BARST is finally ready to present his full length debut album “The Western Lands”. This is an obvious reference to William S. Burroughs. The fragmented, the transcendental and the viscerally unsettling of his work was taken as an inspiration point to build up the massive effort that is BARST’s debut full length. Moreover, the cut-up technique of Burroughs earlier work, where layer upon layer is fitted to build up a work of art, is exactly BARST’s modus operandi too. Cutting up sounds, and layering them from very subtle to incredibly huge is in BARST’s DNA.

To reach the massive sound achieved on the “The Western Lands”, he had the help of an amazing riches of musicians like Mike Armine (Rosetta), Dehn Sora (Treha Sektori, Sembler Deah, …), Karen Willems (Inwolves), Mathieu Mathlovsky(Mathlovsky), Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe (Empusae, Onus,…), An-Sofie De Meyer (FÄR), Tokyo Oyo and Herr Man. The album is one epic trip, encompassing ambient, drone, metal, shoegaze and electronica. “The Western Lands” captures a multitude of musical universes, and blends them seamlessly together in one of the most complete albums we have ever heard. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Tim De Gieter at Much Luv Studio. The artwork, which reflects the same inspiration, was expertly executed by Niels Verwijk.

Video Premiere: Ciempiés - Placenta

Today we are premiering the first official video by Ciempiés and their song "Placenta" from the EP Menos Que Cero.

Ciempiés is the solo project of the Spanish musician Fran H. recently signed to Sportklub Rotter Damm label.

His first work appeared in March of 2014 in demo format. Seven songs that had been recorded throughout January / February of 2014 and that after being published on the web obtained a good response within the more "post-rocker" audience. 

Ciempiés' music could be defined as ambient / post-rock / shoegaze but without falling into the classic sound of the bands of these styles. Mostly the project is characterized by the use of acoustic instruments, soft and distant guitars combined with occasional doses of distortion, as well as electronic instruments, DIY machinery, synthesizers, field recordings, etc ... Although the biggest bet of Ciempiés is always perform songs with a high emotional content that are capable of transmitting the joy and sadness of the people we live in these days.
