It has been just over 5 years since Joe's death. Before that, we had been slowly chipping away at a new Johnnytwentythree album. That album is called The Bridge, and it is now done. 

I feel like Joe would be pretty happy with it. 

The beginnings of the album started out with a song that was written as a reaction to all of us watching a documentary called “The Bridge”. It was a song inspired by the idea of suicide, but also of finding reasons to hold on. 

The album instead has become a memorial to the reality of the life and suicide of our bassist/brother/husband/friend, and father of two little girls. 

It was released on December 23rd.

Proceeds from the album will be going to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI - https://www.nami.org/).

For Nordic Giants the performance is the thing, and as those who have seen the live show will attest, it is a visceral experience that goes beyond the normal descriptors. Nordic Giants have spent the last couple of years bringing their own formula of claustrophobic cinema clatter to a selection of unusual locations across the country; from disused Victorian music halls to converted seaside bandstands. Dressed in feathers and shrouded in a ubiquitous fog the pair look more like residents of Middle Earth.

The award-winning short films that accompany the live performance are each one a work of art; by turn poignant and powerful, dark and uplifting. Whether live action or animation, experimental or narrative, each resonates and will stay with you in its own way.

Seeing Nordic Giants has been described as akin to a religious experience: the multi-screen visuals, powerful strobes and exquisitely timed accompaniment create a whole that is far greater than the sum of its parts.

Astralia was born in La Floresta in November 2010, from the union of three music coming from different styles but with the common idea of creating songs with new sounds, new atmospheres, new textures, often developed from a few notes. Playing with instruments, they create organic ambiences where harmonic sensation coexist. Creations that inspired by nature and, as well as it does, ask for time and pauses. It’s a space trip, influenced by the most ambient post-rock that goes under your skin and it’s impossible to forget.

Astralia self-produced and self-released their first self-titled album, between November 2011 and February 2012. Two years later, after a positive reception amongst public and media / independent blogs, they released their new work, Atlas (May 2014, self-produced and self-released), together with a presentation tour in Portugal and North of Spain in Summer 2014. By then, they crossed paths with Aloud Music to re-release Atlas in vinyl, 3 different editions, one of them shared with the Belgian label Dunk! Records.
 

After some shows in Spain and the opening gig at AMFest 2015 (Barcelona), they toured Europe for the first time, playing in France, Belgium, Germany, Holland as well as in the famous Dunk! Festival in Belgium.
 

The new album “Solstice” was released by Aloud Music in April 2017.
 

Astralia is Roger Guzmán on guitar, Jordi Guzmán on drums and Albert Clemente on bass.

Lost In Kiev’s progressive energy leads to oneiric epic post-rock while still emitting the massive energy of it.

Their influences are Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, 65 Days Of Static, Cult of Luna, Maybeshewill, Mogwai... 

Lost In Kiev writes and records their own texts as an alternative to sampling movie soundbites which are commonly used in post-rock tracks. 

Artwork and live video clips are also created by the band which generate an emotional and graphic cohesive experience during live shows. 

The band toured during 2013 and 2014 for the release of their first album before starting to write the next LP in 2015. Lost in Kiev is now comprised of 4 members which has allowed them to welcome a fresh and creative energy. 

The new LP "Nuit Noire" released in September 2016 on dunk! records, it's an anthem of the night. Odes to nights of dreams and loneliness that also become mystical.

With 5 tracks, but with a running total of over 1 hour, We Lost The Sea are back after their masterpiece "The Quietest Place On Earth". At first I wasn't sure what to expect with the band lacking vocals for the first time and on how could they top their previous release. Those doubts were gone after a couple of tracks into the album saying "This has to be the best track of the album....no THIS have to be the best track....mmm maybe THIS one?". We Lost The Sea present a mature and solid melody and tension building in each track and by adding choir and spoken words in two of them, they somehow make you wonder, why was ever a doubt about the lack of vocals. They sure did a huge turn from what we've used to and they're now flirting more with post-rock at some points , but after hearing this, who can blame them?

Johnny In The Jungle is a 3 piece post-rock band from Szeged, Hungary.

Norilsk is a mining town located in Syberia, Russia. It is one of the most northern located urbanized areas of the world. Residents must put up with extraordinarily harsh living standards. Most make a living from working in the nickel mines. They have to face hard working conditions and a hazardously polluted environment. 

Postcard from Norislk is the tale of a young guy moving there leaving family and friends behind to make ends meet and also in search of a different lifestyle.

Hotel Books is an expression of spirit conveyed through spoken-word poetry and ambient music.

"This album is a collection of three songs to share the new chapter of Hotel Books. Cam Smith and Jordan Leal sat down to construct what would be the new sound and vision of Hotel Books, along with the addition of Jonny Blackwell, Danny Adams, Dan Colasanto into the project.

These three songs were recorded during a four day jam session with Hiram Hernandez in Phoenix, AZ. After Jordan jammed the songs out with Jonathan Brown (Papertowns) on drums, we entered the studio with a perspective of creating three songs that we could share with the ever-growing Hotel Books family.
