Kokomo do not sing. Why? Maybe you start thinking about some words that's up to this point have meant the most to you. Maybe you pick those words up and dust them off and hold them up to a hotel room light and take a real good look at them. You poke your finger through their shine and peel off their golden coating, and for the first time you can see the inside of those words, and you are actually not too surprised at all to find that the insides of the words and the words themselves haven't got a goddamn thing to do with each other.

Kokomo is an instrumental rock band from Duisburg, Germany. We like to play as much as possible to present our own massive sound mixed with lovely melodies and indie-music influenced dance parts. We are young and strongly motivated. We try to do everything by ourselves, but we also love to work with our friends all over the world. We know that we didn't reinvent the wheel, but hey we just wanna have a good time and hope that we sometimes could be different and that some people like our stuff. Kokomo was formed in the middle of 2008 by Oliver Ludley, Rene Schwenk, Tobias Stieler and Benamin Helig. Half a Year ago we went on our first tour. After that we played a lot single shows, visited different nations and shared staged with a lot of great bands like God is an Astronaut, This Will Destroy You, Junius, Caspian, Khuda and many more. In November 2009 we self-released our first record called "Matterhorn Bob and the Black Fair" and went on tour through Germany, France and the UK.

In 2011 they released their second album called "If Wolves".
The current lineup of the band is: Tobias, Benjamin, Rene and Oliver
